Are you interested in enabling streaming in your organization?
Besides the standard network infrastructure, you basically need two pieces for effective streaming. You need an encoder that will take your live video and encode it into a streaming format such as H.264. Once the video is encoded, it needs to be pointed to a streaming server that users can connect to – to view the stream. The streaming service can be a cloud based CDN (content delivery network) such as UStream, or Livestream,
or it can be your own hosted media server such as Wowza, or Adobe Media Server.
Popular encoders can be simple devices like a Haivision, Vbrick, or more sophisticated production switching and streaming devices such as Newtek Tricaster, Livestream Studio, and Wirecast.
